Working with **Our Kids’ Climate**, a parent-led community spanning 55 countries, has shown how strong movements are sustained not only by strategy and advocacy, but by relationships, love and care. From supporting one another’s campaigns to sharing practices around rest, solidarity and resilience, the community demonstrates that meaningful climate action grows stronger when people feel valued and supported. Lasting movements are built not only by what we achieve together, but by how well we hold one another along the way.

From a formative conversation in Costa Rica in 2019 to participating in the **Earth Charter Youth Summit in California in 2026**, this journey reflects how trust, mentorship and community can shape a young leader’s confidence. Presenting Ecopeace Teen Cafe and engaging with young leaders from around the world reinforced a powerful lesson: meaningful youth participation happens when young people are trusted not simply to attend, but to lead. The experience renewed a commitment to peacebuilding, climate action and the belief that collective action can achieve far more than we often imagine.
